Who are we?
We are Double Feature Productions - NYC's Rocky Horror shadowcast!
What is a shadowcast?
Shadowcasting is when a group of performers act out the movie while it's playing by using recreations of props and costumes while lip syncing to the dialogue and songs!
When movie projectors were less powerful than they are today, the performers would be between the projection light and the screen, so they would cast shadows on the movie - hence the term "shadowcast"!
So you do shows?
That's right! We have shows on the last Saturday of every month at the QUAD Cinema (34 W 13th St).
What's this I hear about "prop bags" and "callback lines"?
Our shows are interactive - we invite and implore you to join in the fun! Don't worry - we'll teach you everything you need to know right at the beginning 😉
